Telehealth is a new and innovative way we are able to deliver physiotherapy treatment in the comfort of your own home! You are still receiving the same expertise, knowledge and experience of your physiotherapist, just on a screen! Research has shown that your physiotherapist is able to make as an accurate diagnosis on Telehealth as in real life! The majority of conditions we treat are appropriate for treatment via an online consult.

Frequently Asked Questions

An internet connection and a laptop/tablet/phone with the camera and microphone enabled. Your physiotherapist will organise the best way to deliver the session with you and will make sure you feel confident setting it up. While we are swiftly adapting our systems we are suggesting whatever is comfortable for the patient and their physiotherapist. Some examples are Zoom and Physitrack. Headphones can be useful to cut the background noise and make conversation clearer. Good lighting is helpful for us to see you well, especially for assessment. We need to be able to see the body part and ask you to move around so choose an area with some space. If you have any exercise equipment at home it can be useful to have access to this.

Most Private Health funds cover Telehealth. We recommend you check with your Private Health Insurance to see how much they will cover.

The claim must be paid for in full and patients may claim back from their Private Health fund. Unfortunately we are unable to use Hicaps for direct claiming currently.

Medicare is supporting Telehealth consults for eligible clients (those who have care plans). DVA also covers Telehealth services.
