Meet our Physiotherapist Suhasini (Suh) Sutharshan
Suhasini (Suh) completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree from Curtin University and has obtained her Diploma in Pilates Instruction. Suehs love of dance and movement led her to pursue a career in Physiotherapy and hence she uses her experience of Pilates along with manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation to encourage patients to reconnect with their bodies in a safe and effective way.
Suh has been dancing since the age of three. She has a vast experience in various Indian classical dance styles, contemporary and ballet and has been teaching dance to children and adults. She graduated as a Bharatanatyam dancer (Indian classical dance) in 2014 and has been has performing locally and internationally since then. Due to sustaining many of her own dance injuries over the years, she has a passion for managing dancers in all stages of their training.
Suh has also been using her physiotherapy knowledge to assist in PhD research on the benefits of dance in children with Down Syndrome. This involves providing exercises and safe dance practices for various children with Down syndrome.
During her spare time, Suh enjoys doing Pilates, yoga or spin classes, teaching dance to children and spending quality time with family and friends.
